Christmas is lovely, but the planning can get messy: gifts to buy, a budget to keep, cards to send, a meal to organize and events to remember. If everything lives on scraps of paper and in your head, something always gets forgotten. A Notion planner puts it all in one place, on your phone and your computer. Here is how it works, and the one I built to make it easy.
Why Plan Christmas in Notion?
- Everything in one place: gifts, budget, menu, schedule and cards in the same workspace instead of five different notes.
- Always with you: Notion works on your phone, so you can check your gift list while you are in a store.
- Easy to update: change a price, tick off a gift or add a guest in seconds.
- Sort and filter: see only the gifts you have not bought yet, or only the events this week.
What You Need
A free Notion account is enough. You do not need a paid plan. If you have never used Notion, the template opens with a Start Here page that explains the basics in a few lines.
What Is Inside the Christmas Planner Notion Template
- Gift List: who you are shopping for, the idea, the budget, and whether it is bought and wrapped.
- Budget: one total for the season, with estimated and actual spending side by side.
- Countdown Checklist: 15 simple steps from the end of November to Christmas Day, so nothing is left for the last minute.
- Holiday Schedule: parties, visits and events with date, time and place.
- Menu Planner: every dish for your Christmas meal and who is making it.
- Christmas Card List: names and addresses, with a tick for written and sent.
- Holiday Tips: short reminders to keep the season calm.
You can look at it before you decide: see the public preview here.
How to Get It Into Your Notion
- After purchase, you receive a short PDF with a link button.
- Open the link to see the template page in Notion.
- Click Duplicate in the top right corner.
- The template is now in your own Notion workspace, ready to edit and to reuse every year.
A Simple Way to Start
- Write your gift list first, even if it is only names.
- Set one total budget for the season, then split it between gifts, food and extras.
- Add the dates you already know to the Holiday Schedule.
- Follow the Countdown Checklist one step at a time, starting at the end of November.
Notion Planner or Printable Planner?
Both do the same job, so it comes down to how you like to work. The Notion template is best if you want one place that works on your phone and computer. A printable planner is best if you like pen and paper and want something to stick on the fridge. You can also use both: plan the big picture on paper and track the details in Notion.
